Website Marketing for the Weary Warrior

I mean, who wants to put so much time and effort into something that doesn’t get your juices flowing and inspire you to keep reaching higher?

I was recently reading a post in Hubspot, about “loveable marketing” and thought, we sure can (and often do) make this harder than it has to be. It’s all in the attitude to start, and the rest (good or bad) is what follows. if you ask me, I’m thinking “lovable marketing” should be the new buzzword, because it not only engages your audience at a deeper level (thereby causing your audience to remember you), it makes you feel good too. And that’s a win-win for sure. So, go ahead, let your hair down, live it up and have some fun!

Speaking of attitude adjustment, as we mourn the loss of one of our iconic leaders, I thought it fitting to share some of Zig Ziglar’s finest quotes that have inspired me over the years. His integrity, commitment to living a balanced life, and motivational training, both personally and professionally has and, no doubt, will continue to inspire countless seekers for generations to come. His focus always came from a perspective that conveyed the ‘glass is half full’ mentality and by that standard, the power of positive thinking is more than just a cliche, it’s a way of life that brings great rewards.

When it comes to website marketing, your perspective is what will impact your attitude, So, to start, let’s talk about perspective:

We generally avoid things that we feel we won’t be successful at, and to that end, we say, “whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you’re right.”

“If you don’t see yourself as a winner, then you cannot perform as a winner.”
A simple, effective and proven technique is to visualize yourself achieving your goal. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” is essentially built into our DNA, so you might as well use this to your advantage!

“Attitude, not Aptitude, determines Altitude.” Obviously, you have to be educated to in your chosen field, but if you’re lacking expertise in any facet, your attitude towards your education, willingness to learn and/or enlisting the help of others will impact your growth in ways that can either make or break you. Because we live in a time where the world is literally at our fingertips, if you have the desire, all the help you could ever want is right there, at your fingertips. Your attitude, therefore, is what will carry you toward your goal.

“You can succeed at almost anything for which you have unbridled enthusiasm.” Enthusiasm in-and-of-itself is a great motivator, however, unbridled enthusiasm is the fuel that keeps you going when the chips are down. Don’t lose sight of the prize…

“It’s not where you start or even what happens to you along the way that’s important. What is important is that you persevere and never give up on yourself.” Again, this is where asking for help is not a sign of weakness, rather, it actually comes from a place of integrity. We’re all just human and as much as we think we can do it all, we were never meant to do it alone. Acknowledging your limitations is a healthy and balanced approach to living and invites meaningful and mutually rewarding relationships into your world.
