Leprechauns Don’t Like Inbound Marketing

By March 17, 2014July 6th, 2023Uncategorized

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I’ve never been a fan of St. Patrick’s Day. Maybe because I feel uncomfortable drinking green beer or because the movie Leprechaun scared the shamrocks out of me as a kid. I honestly don’t know why, but it’s just not one of my favorite holidays.

However, I have been inexplicably drawn to St. Patty’s Day this year. I made a black and tan Irish cream cake last night (already half gone); I accidentally wore green pajama pants to bed; I’ve been listening to “Irish Pop” on Pandora all day today. I guess the luck of the Irish is with me this year!

St. Patrick’s Day always reminds of my favorite inbound marketing cartoon, though, shared by HubSpot a few years ago. We always talk about how great inbound marketing is for anyone, but that’s actually not true. There is a very specific group for which inbound marketing can actually be disastrous: fictional creatures.

Apparently unicorns have the same problem. For the rest of us actually wanting to get found, do a happy jig with these marketing tips, tricks, and hacks below. Have a great (safe) St. Patrick’s Day!
